Inter- and intra-regional distribution of steady-state thermal sweating (ventilated capsules) for resting individuals. Participants (N = 49) were seated (air temperature 36°C, 60% relative humidity) and wore a heated, water-perfusion suit (40°C–46°C). Data are means with standard deviations extracted from five studies undertaken within the authors' laboratory (sweat capsules (capacitance hygrometry)).
