Trend of five consecutive post-exercise readings to demonstrate maximal flow response and differences in subsequent flow. Two examples of five post-exercise readings and baseline flow are seen between 4 and 8 s following occlusion. The first post-exercise trace gradient gives an indication of maximal blood flow immediately after exercise, the maximal flow response (MFR). Individuals demonstrate considerable variation in the rate at which their post-exercise trace gradients return towards baseline. Some remain considerably elevated by the fifth reading a whereas others have returned almost to pre-exercise BF values b
